Stress

Hi, Love!

Stayed up until around 1:30-2:00AM working on a small assignment...sounds crazy, but I had class from 7:00-10:00PM and I had a friend over last night.  By the time I got on the computer, it was probably around 11:00PM.  It still sounds kind of crazy, now that I think about it since it was a small assignment...

Once I finished it, I was exhausted.  I checked Facebook for a little bit, then said, "Good night" to Jaiden.  By that time, it was probably around quarter to 2:00.   So that was that. 

Still have a mini-assignment due tonight around midnight and a quiz for that same class due around the same time.  I can't believe I have all this stuff at once already...I mean, I know it's only three things, but at the same time, midterms aren't even here yet and I'm already feeling stressed.  I really don't like school...

I really just wish to be curled up in bed next to you without a care in the world.  Life would be so much easier that way...and I wouldn't have to be so far from you. 

I'll be honest, I'm often scared that the distance might do something to our relationship.  I mean, I know both of us hate it and that we both don't see a reason in breaking up just because of distance.  But, I'm scared of losing you.  We're so far from each other and I'm always afraid that someone better will come around and you'll go running off with her instead.  I don't really have a reason to be thinking this way besides the distance because you've been an amazing boyfriend and you've been by my side the whole time.  You've helped me through so much, and throughout the entirety of our first year together, we've already gone through more than many a couple would in our first year as a couple and university.  I really just wish that we didn't have to deal with this stupid distance. 

I don't know...I think it's all just stress...I wish I could be with you more often...

I don't know how this post took such a turn, and I'm really sorry about that...

I really hope you're dealing with things a lot better than I am.

Swimming with the Sea-Monkeys!

So, after our little Dr. Frankentstein moment last night of putting our little Sea-Monkeys in the water, we now have life! 

Checked on them this morning and I'm seeing little things swimming around.  Or, trying to at least.  They make the water look so thick as if they're trying to swim through Jell-o.  They're just sort of pushing themselves around a little bit.  Imagine little baby turtles trying to get to the water from the beach.  They kind of look like that in the water with the inching and what not.  Except, these guys are really tiny, so not even inching...millimetering? xD

They're kind of cute for things that are basically under water bugs.  The ones I can see right now are just swimming in circles.  That is, they are until I stir them up a bit to give them air.  Then they're just thinking, "OH GOD! OH GOD!  WHERE AM I GOING?! AHHH CURRENT!!!"  It's supposed to be fun for them, but I'm not sure if it really would be or not. xD

I can't wait until they're all grown up.  I'd be able to see them without trying so ridiculously hard. xD

I still need to think of a name for them.  Can't actually think of anything as a group name.  Will probably think of something soon.  We'll see.

Busy, busy

Mondays are always so tiresome to for me. So much stuff to do, so much classes.

I ordered a lab manual online the other day. A few days later I got an email saying my order was canceled. No big deal. I head over to the bookstore a few days later and got the book. Then I got an email saying my order was ready for pick up.... Yeah, so now I have two of the same book. The worst part is that the system fot online buying and the book store takes 24hrs to talk to each other so I can't get a refund right away. So much trouble, selling such over priced stuff.

At least class was manageable. We had to pluck carrots out of a pot and measure them. feel like such a farmer. xD Oh city folks like me. I always think if we can live away from the cities. On one hand, it'd be pretty sweet to grow our own food. But on the other hand, I like my internetz. @_@

The future scares me when I think about it. That's pretty much the only thing I'm scared of right now. Well, besides things that kill me or scary looking creatures and stuff.

Pride

Hi Love!

You wouldn't believe it.  I forgot my jacket all the way back at home, so I had to buy a wind breaker from the school bookstore.  It was so expensive...well, to me anyway.  Apparently, it's actually not that bad of a price, as I've found out after I talked to Dad about it.

Also, worked on my presentation with my partner today and basically got it done in terms of information.  She's going to make it all pretty now and we'll go over it again tomorrow after our other class together. =]

After this class, I was going to go deposit something, but it turned out that they were all out of envelopes, so I walked out and guess what?  I saw my ex-roommate and her friend, whom I have met and also dislike.  When I first saw them across the street from the building I walked out of, which just so happened to be our residence building last year, I felt a twinge of "Oh God, why?"  but that quickly turned to, "Maybe I do see you, and maybe I still don't like you.  But you're not going to bother me anymore because I'm not living with you and your filthy friends in a dump anymore.  I am living under better conditions now with a better roommate and I am pleased.  Very pleased.  In fact, I'm proud that you can see me now because you can't bother me anymore."

So, I walked on with my chin held high and more pride than I have ever felt in my life.  I don't think I told you this, but the same happened when I saw my other ex-roommate's bed buddy last week.  All the feeling and the pride. 

I've never felt so good, I don't even know why I felt that way.  I thought seeing them again would make me absolutely miserable, but I feel amazing!

This is such a weird thing.

Anyway, I'm going to go back to eating my dinner of chilli, that Ian made, and left over rice.  =]

Looks like you're going to have a tonne of reading this term too. 

You should get to know your philosophy prof better.  Sounds like she'd be someone good to know for future reference.  That, and she just sounds cool in general.   

Unfortunately, I can't take it away.  If there's anything I learned in history class, it's that prohibition just, in its own twisted way, promotes more drinking.  Also, it's illegal to spay a human being.  So, w kind of have to just deal with the screaming and drunkeness.  =[  *hugs* 

It can't possibly be me.  I never have good luck.  Well, except for grade 12 where I met you and we became inseparable (emotionally at least).  That was the best luck I've ever had in my life.  <3

I need to find a thermometer for my Sea-Monkeys.  Dad says I should get a heater for them too, but I don't think I want to possibly melt the tank.  Not that I think it will, but, for caution's sake, I don't want my little babies to die.

Yeah, winter is definitely coming.  Kind of.  It's unusually cold and warm.  I always find that the temperature is always just right with you around (despite me complaining about head, I do love it when you hold me anyway). 

I hope today treats you better and that your roommates aren't doing stupid things.  If they are, remember, you're the eldest of them.  You can be that intimidating second year if you want to be.  I know it's not in neither your, nor my, nature.  But, if it must be done, it must be done.

Down on luck

Guess I'm down on my luck these past few days.

Today I had my first Vertebrate form and function lab. The lab is worth 40% of my final grade @_@. There's gonna be a quiz every lab (even today, the very first lab), and it is expected that we spend as much time as we do on our lab outside of the lab preparing before we walk in.

I had to cram as much information as I can during the lab because, being me, I have not read anything beforehand. It's a simple 5 question quiz, but I think I made it. Just hope that I can keep it up.

Then a headache raced across my head. ~_~

At least philosophy class at night was pleasant. It's still relatively easy, nothing high school and Reddit had not prepared me for. The prof's great too. Easy going, and you can tell she knows her stuff and likes teaching it to us. She also had a bio background, when she's doing her undergrad. I feel like we're relatable in that way. :p I'm not the only crazy science major doing philosophy stuff.

Just when I was just going about on my computer, listening to my music, I paused it for a second and heard screaming outside. Yup, shitty music and drunktard being annoying.

Man. That's literally the last thing I need right now. Take it away! ><"

It's been pretty cold here too. Walked back from philo to res in a drizzle. Winter is coming.

I think I might need a thermometer to keep track of the temperature of the water in the tank.  Don't want them to die or something. D=  We still haven't thought of anything to name our colonies.  I really hope it's as glorious as you think they'll be too.  I'd love to be able to take care of something that's alive.  I don't want to have to worry about it too much.  I mean, a cat would have been good, but constantly taking it back and forth between home and school might make it confused and unhappy...figured Sea-Monkeys would be best that way.  When you come back from school for the summer, make sure you hold on to yours and don't fall asleep because we don't want the tank to tip over. D=

....ones?....(you have no idea how long you had me thinking about this)...I hadn't really thought about it, I mean, I know there's "one's" as in "one is," or to state that something belongs to one.  But....huh...."ones."  That's weird. xD

Today, in my Women in Fiction class, this guy sat beside me and wouldn't keep muttering what he thought.  It was actually pretty annoying.  I mean, not in the way you do.  Mostly because you're pretty silent when you do it.  But, he'd say something particularly irritating.  I see how some of his opinions would make sense and simply be stating from a guy's point of view...mostly his point of view.  One cannot speak for the entirety of his gender.  So, that wasn't too bad, but it wasn't often that he had anything half decent or intelligent to say. 

Just stop already, you know? 

Also, when I walked to campus for my first class, it was pretty cold out.  Not super cold, but cold enough for a jacket on top of my sweater...well...your sweater. =P  When I came out to walk to Women in Fiction, it was suddenly ridiculously warm.  I couldn't believe I was actually wearing my jacket AND your sweater.  Walked home with them just in my arms.  Jeez, the weather is weird. 

I still need to figure out when abouts the bus arrives at my stop in the morning and just about whenever just in case it rains, and I'll definitely need it for the winter.  @_@

Looks like you have a crazy day today.  I have one class left, then my godfather is coming to pick me up for the weekend. =]

Thinking of hatching the Sea-Monkeys Monday night.  That way, I can come back from home, put the purifier in, and have it sit until Monday night.

Today was relatively ok.

Bought a textbook from someone. Went in to his car, drove me to the bank and got back. Felt kinda sketchy, but I'm safe and sound. I actually almost went in to the wrong person's car just now. It was quite embarrassing.

Can't wait to hatch the Sea-Monkeys with you :p I predict a great future of our two colonies are going to be glorious. Imagine ALL the animals we're gonna have! x3

Since you're the English major, I want to tell your a question I had awhile back. Isn't it weird that the word "one" has a plural?

Internet AND HOT WATER!!!

Hi Love!

Yesterday, we finally got our hot water!  Just in time for me to get home from class and take a shower while dinner was being prepared.  It felt SOOO nice! 

Just today, not long after I got back from class and Ian left to go back home for his G2 test, the Rogers guy came by with our modem!  So yeah, WE HAVE INTERNETTT!!! =D  It'll be so much easier to talk to you now when I need to do something. =P

Anyway, I need to read half of Beowulf by tomorrow afternoon and I have class tonight, so I'll talk to you when I get back from that.  Or between your classes, which should  be fine because I'm here for 4 more hours!

Internet and Hot Water

Hey, Love.

Good to hear that your roommates are better this year, and don't worry about the BRS.  You'll be okay. 

Sorry to hear about the router issues though.  I'm sure you'll find a way to make it work. 

We're getting our Internet stuff coming in tomorrow at some point in time when I don't have class, hopefully.  So that'll be fun. 

Turns out we have no hot water though.  Discovered that the hard way.  Tried to check it out with Ian and our neighbour today, but no luck.  Don't know what to do to turn it on.  It's already switched on and everything, but it's not doing anything...Had to call the plumber in (yayyy), so more money going out there on top of the modem and such installation tomorrow. 

Crazy stuff everywhere. 

I know, I'll do my homework. xD  If anything, you can scold me for not doing it.  =P  I still haven't been fully sucked into Reddit, but I probably will be sooner or later. 

I'd love to visit you and meet your friends.  It'd be so much fun. =]  We just have to find out when and how we'd be doing it, is all. 

Besides that, I think it'd be a great idea.

Annoyed

It's a pretty relaxing day today, but bit of stuff here and there is just kinda annoying.

Sunday sports, went to get lunch, watched a movie in Carlow's living room, watched Kevin shoot people, grocery shopping, and that's pretty much it.

Then I decided to hook up my router. After all the google fu I did, I manage to connect to the router wirelessly. However, when I try to set a password, nothing happens. I click apply, but nothing happens.

Looked up Google once more, and found out that there's some missing script on the site that doesn't let me click apply on that page. So I have to try to modify it. I manage to found a Firefox add on that let me see the script, but I don't know how to use it and I don't know how to change the script.

Then the prof emailed me about the right format of summiting my homework. The homeword that's due Tuesday that I had already done on Saturday. So I went to the school email, hoping to fing the sent file, and summit it in the right format again. Nope, can't get in to the school email.

*sigh*

I'm making a note here: HUGE SUCCESS.

It's been a week and the sink's empty. There's recycling needed to be taken out but hey, compared to last year I'm calling it a success. They are quiet, cleans stuff, don't blast their music. I think I'm going to be fine this year. Well, except, you know, those BRS. I'll just hide around.

Like I've said before, the Internet has grant me knowledge from across the 7 seas. Now that you are on Reddit, it will soon grant you yours without you knowing it. I'm sure you know, but I just have to remind you, you still have to do your school stuff. Reddit will suck you in. xD

We should arrange something so you can head up here. I've met a couple of your friends, you should meet more of mine. Well you've met a few briefly, but you should actually go hangout with them. I'm sure they would love to meet you too.

Then we'd be able to spend days on end with each other too. I'd love that.

You Are Not!

You're not old!  But, I can understand why it wouldn't feel right.  I'll be there soon too. xD  So, don't worry about it.

Despite the fact that you feel old, you still look as adorable as ever.  I hope you stay the same too.  You'll probably have a few minor changes along the way, what with personal experiences and stuff, but you'll still be you, I'm sure. 

Of course you'd be surrounded by people who love you.  I don't see any reason why they wouldn't.  Actually, I've never come across anyone who doesn't like you.  You can mingle with just about anyone.  Your mind just works so well that way, allowing you to talk with anyone about anything.  =]

Happy Birthday!!!

Hi, Love!

So, you're a whole year older now!  You don't sound like it, but I know just beneath the skin, you're still fretting about getting older.  You're not that old you know?  Like Dad says, "Age is only a number."  He doesn't worry about it, neither should we. 

Easy for me to say now, but I know next summer, I'm going to be in the same position freaking out just as much as you are and have been for the past few days.  But hey, age or not, it still does not change my opinion of you.  You are still the best guy I could ever find.  Ever.  I wouldn't trade you for the world. 

You're so adorable, sweet, smart, witty, and most of all, not annoying and stupid with lack of all common sense. 

I wish you plenty of fun for your birthday and I'm sure your friends will make sure of that.

I don't know how to do titles for these...

As the title of this post points out, I have no idea how to title these.  Mostly because they're basically letters to you.  Until I find a way to think up relatively decent titles that relate to the topic (not that we really have topics at all...) I will start to write in random things (probably animals or something) that may or may not relate in anyway to the letter.

Oh, he did not!  Agh...why must people keep using older songs in "their" song and call it their own?  We were taught not to do this for ages.  It's called "plaigiarism" guys!  Make your own freaking music!...not that it is music anymore.  It's all noise now.

I look forward to those years to come. =]  I can't wait to be with you again.  Also, don't worry about him.  You don't live with him anymore and you don't have to hear his stupid noise anymore.  Not to mention, you don't have to deal with being locked out of your shared room because he's doing unspeakable things in there. 

But yeah, I'm surprised that he's still there...and since you forgot that he's going to be there, your reaction was probably along the lines of:

Just forget about him, buy a new toner, and study hard. =]  It'll all be worth it.

Just think of the cheetahs.  That'll keep you going! =]

Yeah, I keep telling myself, these few short moments apart are nothing compared to the years to come. :)

The prof seems to know what he's doing and he's going to do it, which is nice. There are a couple of people I know from last year in that class too. Too bad Caleb's not here... And someone else just refuse to leave. ~_~

Not looking forward to organic chemistry... But I'm going to have to pull it though. There are baby cheetahs waiting for me to save! *determined face*

Love certainly is strange.  But I'm not complaining. =]

I miss you too.  We'll be together again soon.  Though only for a short amount of time, we will be together. 

Ahaha, loving the song, but you should have seen what was in the suggested videos!  I looked over for just a moment and saw "How to put on a tampon!"  I have no idea how that relates...nor do I know how Pitbull relates...(also in suggested videos).

Anyhow, I hope your first day of classes...or I guess...class, is a good one.  Don't wear yourself out too quickly and don't let people bother you too much.  There's only one of you and I don't want to lose you this early.  I don't know what I would do without you.

Hello!

So I'm the other person.

School seems great so far. The roomies are relatively quiet. Clean things on their own. That with my single room, I think this year is not going to be so bad. Gonna try to cook more, even though I still have $940 on my meal plan. Those are going to be mostly coffee money. Also, as you know, gonna try to swim more.

I miss the warmth of your hugs even under this kind-of-summer heat. Your kisses. Just you.

I know I've shown you this before, but I'm gonna share this with you again.

Welcome, =]

Hello out there to everyone new here,

As you can tell, we are new as well.  From reading this blog, you will see that it is sort of like what you might expect from the vlogbrothers on YouTube.  The only differences are we are not siblings, we are a couple working with a long distance relationship caused by school, and well, of course, the obvious: this is a blog, not a vlog.  We, like the vlogbrothers, are simply trying to keep in touch.

Sure, it is strange since we are in the same country and time zone, and it would be easier for us to just connect over Facebook, or some sort of instant messaging.  But we thought, why not try this?  It could be interesting.

So, for all of you out there, welcome to our little blog and we hope you enjoy.
